CAW [Creative Arts of Women] and Fort Hayes have a special relationship, one of CAW’s founders, Stephanie Rond, was a Fort Hayes graduate. “Exchanges” is an exhibit that explores the dynamics of mentorship, and celebrates the results of 10 CAW members who mentored the 2014 Fort Hayes Senior AP Art class over four months, to complete a portfolio of work to get college credit. The students exhibit their work along side work done by their CAW mentors, that were inspired by the mentor relationship.

“Exchanges” is now on exhibit in the Shot Tower Gallery in the Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center, 546 Jack Gibbs Blvd (614)365-6681, and will run through April 4, with an artist reception and performance March 20, Thursday, 6-8pm.

I’m looking forward to seeing the Venice Biennale in Italy next week! After dreaming of visiting this city with streets of water, and historical magic, I’m looking forward to being inspired by artists’ work from around the world.
